Some zephyr cleanups

* Replace macros with inline functions.
* Move duplicated code to functions.
* Use purple_strequal() and purple_str_has_caseprefix() where applicable.
* Remove unneeded variables.
* Remove unused header.

Testing Done:
Compiled with internal and external libzephyr.
